Reason for asking is because I personally feel that it's great for the customer and for gamers to have different options when it comes to their games. With that said, for me:

For indie titles or old school games, retro games - I prefer digital.
For modern AAA titles, and...pretty much everything else: I prefer physical.

If it has a physical version, I'm most likely getting it physical. Only time I don't is if I got it for free digital (PS Plus), or it was super cheap. Obviously with indies, I go digital because they rarely have a physical release.

Physical is preferred but if it's significantly cheaper, or is only available, through digital then it's looks like I'm going the digital route that time.

I usually go physical, but if i can find a game at a cheaper price or if it's an online only game i'll buy digital.

Usually I buy digital when I want to buy digital and physical when I want to buy physical.

If it's a console copy, I'd almost certainly prefer it to be physical ...

If it's a PC copy, I'd prefer digital copies because access to content and lower prices are more convenient. It's also a whole lot easier to keep 200+ digital copies of games than physical ones ...

Obviously physical, but it does also depend on the game.

If it's an indie game that is for sure not getting a physical release, I will buy it digitally. However, something like Fatal Frame V, I will not buy digital. I will be waiting for a physical release. And if it never gets one, Nintendo will never get that money for it.

I always get physical, unless it's digital only.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Physical. I love that new game smell. I only own digital if it is a demo or a free game.

Depends on the platform, PC is digital all the way as it's cheap and convenient while consoles I prefer physical format but all that depends on what consoles will be like in future.
