Is the internet such a big part of your life, that you can pretty much say that it consumes you just as much as a drug or alcahol addiction would, or does the internet have no affect on your social life?

Eeehhh...I've never cancelled or avoided other plans for the sake of being online, but I do probably spend too much time on the internet.

The Internet itself is not such a thing to be addicted to, more an alternative form of communication.

I do partially. Not because I want to be, it's because I have to watch my siblings and so I'm bored online since I can't leave the house with them around x.x

I actually quite like it when I don't have the internet while I'm on vacation. I don't suffer any without it, nor do I miss it. I'm actually the same with my phone. When I leave it at home, it's like a weight it lifted from me. Although I am so used to having it with me, when it's not in my pocket, I often feel like I'm missing something lol. But again, when I'm on vacation I don't have that issue.

I use it to excess, but I'm not addicted. There are times when I don't use it for long periods and don't really miss it that much.

I don't know if that really makes sense. Like, I like reading news, watching content, and communicating. If there was a way to do that on a medium that wasn't the internet and the internet was shut down, I'd be fine with that. I'm doing the same things now people did with magazines, newspapers, TV, and phones two decades ago. It's just more convenient being in one place.
