I can see that someone would call the police.

We should worry about this part;

During questioning, officers repeatedly brought up his last name, Mohamed said. When he tried to call his father, Mohamed said he was told he couldn’t speak to his parents until after the interrogation was over.

Is that even legal? I thought minors had to have a parent present for police to be allowed to question them?

he is lucky that he isnt any blacker, or he wouldnt have such a nice stay at the police...

Poor kid. He definitely shouldn't have been punished and suspended after everything was cleared up. I feel quite sad that now he will probably no longer mess around with technology and develop this hobby.

when kids are getting suspended/kicked out of class for finger guns, or poptart guns, pencil guns and or t-shirts. i think it had little to do with him being muslim.(though it very well could be) did they grossly overreact it sounds like it.

but its hard to tell with every story editorializing this, rather than just report on it.

Based on the information presented, it seems ridiculous. Often, there is more to these stories.
