Forums - Gaming Discussion - Pokemon Go, how popular will it be?

Will Pokemon Go be a big hit?

YES! 31 41.33%

It will be a popular mobile fad 12 16.00%

It will be mostly popular in Asia 15 20.00%

It will be mostly popular in the west 1 1.33%

It will bring the masses to Pokemon once more 16 21.33%

Total:75

Will we be able to transfer the pokemon captured and trained on Go to the main series games? That could be a pretty decent incentive.

I don't know how to feel about this. As long as it doesn't take the focus away from the handheld series, I'll tolerate it. And if it's freemium, please, be reasonable with the in-game prices, Nintendo.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

İt will be very popular because of its brand name and recognision and that its on android

REQUIESCAT IN PACE

I Hate REMASTERS

I Hate PLAYSTATION PLUS

This will be huge among kindergarteners with mobile phones. I don't know how big of a percentage of children that is, kids here still prefer to chase a football instead of a virtual pet. But I guess in Japan there's more of a market for it.

This is going to do well enough, specially in Japan! Our Japanese friends are going to eat up PKMNG like nothing else.

This is gonna be ridiculously popular, especially in Japan.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I want to see the prices of the pokeballs and their new catching rate. Imagine just this... You find Mewtwo in your garden and you want to capture it, but you only have one master ball and you miss!! You have to buy more!! And each master ball is 5 dollars!!! That's a lot of money dude.

Anyway I think this will be extremely popular.

1-MasterBalls don't miss;

2-I'm pretty shure the catching rate will be the same as in the main series games;

btw it beeing a free to play game it's shure that you will have the opportunity to get more pokéballs without paying, Nintendo doesn't make a F2P where you can't go ahead with the gameplay after a certain point, but as in every F2P they'll let you go ahead slowly, giving you the possibility to do things faster with in-game microtransactions. Oh, Master Ball isn't confirmed to be in the game, they've shown only Pokéballs, Megaballs and Ultraballs.

What if MasterBalls are ONLY avalible through microtransactions?

It'll be really popular, though it could easily end up as a fad... only time will tell
