but still has male playable characters? or just all-female like FF XII-2?

Just give me a well done 3D remaster of FFVI, staying 100% faithful to the story and characters, with great voice acting. Done.

The fewer males the better. The grand rule of everything.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

After playing through old FFs, I think we need to put an end to random encounter, they make me not want to explore the open world. At least put something like repel from Pokemon (which I think is genius) or avoidable enemies. Also adjustable speed in battles would be awesome (drag it out if you want to make every fight feel epic, or remove animations to skip a few fights or for grinding purposes).

Major issue I had with IX is that everything drags on for so long I ended up getting frustrated with it.

Take FFX

With shoujo ai overtones, sure!

Mix FF 9 and FF 10 with Zelda's battling system... and bam, perfection. Nothing drives me crazier than random battles and grinding. The first JRPG that comes out that doesn't force me to grind or go into random battles, is an instant game of the century for me.

Copy/paste Final Fantasy X.

I liked 10 a lot, but I felt the cast was largely inexcusable. Costumes were atrocious. Interactions were poor.
Only characters I liked were Auron and Yuna

The FFX series is a perfect example of how Nomura over does it sometimes with his designs. Look at Nooj.

I would love another game like XII with more members in the active party like 4-5 and actually have job class. I want a black mage in my party.

- I definitely would make my perfect FF turn based
- I am a fan of the steam punk / modern setting (Think FF6, 7, 8, 10, even possibly tactics)
- I would want full control of my party and have job classes (Like FF5 and Tactics)
- Characters would need to have real differences (Some are stronger therefore better optimized certain ways compared to other characters, etc)
- I like chasing drops more then crafting, though some crafting is still fine (and chasing crafting loot can be just as rewarding)
- I like having a combination of modern weapons like guns with swords and magic (to me this is the hallmark of steampunk)
- I like having an open world map, but I am open to time / story lock limitations if it makes sense for certain areas
- Environments....Get rid of the Corridors, I'm looking at you 13
- Characters - I usually like having a party of 3-4 people active and having at least that many in reserve, so my sweet spot for playable characters is probably around 8-10. I am perfectly fine with temporary members if the narrative makes sense.

every single one of these... Do want.
