Watching baseball has no value what so ever either as you're just watching a bunch of guys on steroids.

But that's most of the fun: To see who can inflate their biceps the most at the expense of their balls.

I would definitely watch e-sports if those guys were on LSD.

Well, at least he didn't make fun of people that track video game sales, post and argue about it. Then it would really be a can of Woop a$$ war he would have opened.

But seriously, people watch Golf, Nascar, Baseball, Footballs (both kinds), etc. And I can tell you the result right now - one team or person is going to win, and everyone else will lose. That's it, now you know.

With games you might see something you missed, learn something new, or watch someone play at a level you could only dream about.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Why watch other people play sports?

Because for sports you need actual skill and manly men. In video games you're just pressing buttons.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Yeah, and playing football is just kicking a ball. If you reduce an activity down to it's basic requirement, anything seems easy. Some people are better than me at pressing buttons (they are definitely better than me at recording and editing videos to make them entertaining).

This said, I don't really watch other people play games for the games, I watch it for the personalities, opinions, entertainment or comedy involved. Which is why I like Jim Sterling or watch Game Theory.

Hmm, pie.

Even if you like watching games, what's the harm in a joke?

It's just a silly joke, get over it.

If people can't handle having the piss taken out of them then they don't belong on the internet.

No Why ???

He is completely right:
watching people play videogames i double waste of time

By the way anyone who reacts in such an outraging response to his comedy sketch is either addicted (to watching videos on YT) or just stupid.

Lmfao!!! That was awesome, I agree 100 percent. The people comparing it to sports have no clue what they are talking about. We watch let's say baseball because these the best of the best playing for a team, which is why we watch to root for your favorite team. Watching some else play video games ha no value what's so ever.

Watching someone else play sport has no inherent value to the watcher either. Non-sporting people laugh at sports watchers getting all hot and bothered over a bunch of men/women chasing after a ball as sports watchers laugh at people who watch competitive gaming.

I think you lack a little understanding of what competitve gaming is. Competitive gaming is the same as competitive sports at the most basic level: high level of skill, depth of understanding of the mechanics of the game, tactical knowledge and strategy. For some reason peope think that because most sports involve mucular exertion it occupies some kind of holy niche of human endeavour.

This reminds me of the debate a few years ago about wheter video games are art. That debate ended well and truly in fravour of those who recognised from the beginning that video games are art. The same thing will happen here, competitve video gaming is as much a sport as anything people currently consider sport and eventually that will be recognised and generally understood, albeit just like people who don't "get" sports spectating, there will be people who never "get" competitive video game spectating.

Still, nothing wrong with having a laugh about it. PLenty of people have been having a laugh about sports spectating for decades.

Hmm, pie.

Well, I agree. I know people who watch videogames more than playing them, that's totally ridiculous and silly. Just play them, for fuck's sake. Videogames are meant to be played. I only find videos useful to give me an impression of the game.
