Forums - Gaming Discussion - MGSV PS4 Limited edition console comes with a typo

It's not exactly something along the lines of SP 4, but It's there. I thought it was kinda funny, so I wanted to share it.

Releasing limited edition consoles for AAA releases is pretty par for the course these days: it gives fans of any particular series a reason to upgrade to a new machine, with the added bonus that a few committed collectors might pick up an extra console. They range from the silly to the sublime, but all in all, they can be a nice way to personalize what’s otherwise a fairly nondescript machine like a PS4 or an Xbox One. The Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain Limited Edition PS4, however, comes with some extra personality of its own. Where it should say “do not use Molybdenum lubrication,” the manufacturer has misspelled the element “molybdeum.” Things could get very uncomfortable for any obsessive compulsive chemists who happen to also be diehard Metal Gear Solid fans.

Lord knows I’m not one to judge where typos are concerned, but one really does feel for those whose spelling errors can’t be wiped away through a quick click of “update post.” A lot of other blogs have pointed out a similar mistake that Capcom made with Resident Evil: Revelations, misspelling the game’s title as “Revelaitons.”

Or maybe the typos is a piece of Metal Gear Solid lore? Perhaps an unqualified safety inspector at the fictional factory? It would be far from the weirdest thing Metal Gear Solid has done, though I don’t think that’s actually what’s happening here. Anyone who’s got a misspelled console can rest easy, though: manufacturer error has a way of upping a given item’s resale value.

Someone already made a thread about this last week. Can't find it though.

Really? Damn lol, I'm so slow xD

Aren't those kind of texts copypasted all the time? Well, at least it's not as bad as Revelaitons

You know it deserves the GOTY.

The Okami incident with the front covers having the IGN logo watermarked was also hilarious!

Around the Network

Let's be honest, 99.9% of all the people who buy this PS4 don't even know what Molybdenum is yet alone how to spell it.

Now that's downright hilarious.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

And the North American version of "the order 1886 remains unchanged.

People are surprised about this?

They even typo'ed their company name multiple times to the point that they had to ban KONMAI from being registered in their network.

With Sony's luck during this gen, The Typo will most likely increase the console's demand.
