I didn't realise John 5 kept his MM moniker after leaving the band.

Shalln't rate the song, since my tastes are very specific despite being highly varied, and this doesn't appeal to me, but the guy's obviously crazy talented in a way I hadn't appreciated from his MM days.

One song he composed that I did enjoy -

Nice song from Manson. I also listen to the band. 8/10

The song is more about mood and vocals and I sort of have to go with John 5's work as soloist more because instrumental or heavily instrumental stuff is what I llove. But I definitely like this stuff. :)

Great instrumentation, just not a fan of the vocal style.

Let's go with this one then:

This is the Power Metal that I like, musicians actually playing their instruments instead of just jamming to a Flower Metal sing-along song. The song may not reinventing the genre but it is very tight song. 8.5/10

7.5/10. But it's not really old school Thrash in my opinion.

I recently discovered the "Full Dynamic Range Editions" of some classics from Earache Records and they're actually good (YouTube quality kills it, though).

Fucking killer! This is the first album I bought from them, I still have it. 9/10

Is that song from Nekrogoblikon? I am not sure because the link says it is not available and I can only read the End of Infinity title and VA bellow.

I am not a fan of bands that focus way to much on rythm, make pauses on the sound, rely way too much on breakdowns so this is not my cup of tea. BUT, this song didn't have the vocalist singing pretty for verse or chorus at some point of the song, so that is something I appreciate in the constant trend of bands that do the above: 6/10

NEXT, something off Japan:
