During a discussion about The Pokémon Company’s plans to celebrate Pokémon’s 20th  anniversary in early 2016, we asked about Pokkén Tournament and its place in the overall celebration.

“Will Pokkén Tournament be…is that your main plan for the early part of the 2016 anniversary?”

In response, Smith simply said, “No.”

However, when pressed further, he stated, “I’m splitting hairs. No, there’s lots of stuff planned for the 2016 year but nothing I can talk about now.”

Well, it seems we'll get something big about Pokémon in the first 6th months of 2016. What do you think it could be ? Pokémon Z ? A re-remake of Pokémon Red&Blue ? Pokémon Stadium 3 ? Pokémon Snap 2 ? Pokémon 2Dark4U : Gale of Colosseum ?

For this generation we already have the 2 main games, the remakes, a console spinoff, and a mystery dungeon coming soon. based on what could still happen, we could see any of the following---

-Pokemon Z
-Pokemon Ranger 4
-something for the 20th anniversary
-Wii U spinoff title

i personally think we will see Pokemon Z in March, Pokken Tournament in May or early June, and then another spinoff game in the fall. i would preferably see another Pokemon Ranger since we didnt get one for Gen V.

I'm more hyped for Pokken Tournament than Pokémon Z. As should anyone.

Unless they release Pokémon Red/Blue remake on the Wii U, then I'll faint from excitement.

Nintendo as a company seem to be trying to make logical decisions as of late. If they release a new handhed the same holiday as a new Pokemon, I think said pokemon game will be on that platform even if just a port.

I'm gonna be optimistic and stupid and say we'll get a Red/Blue HD Remake for Wii U as the 30 anniversary game.
