The most underated RPG for me was Legend of Dragoon

I did the exact same thing.  I remember it was around that time that they started the gold colored US $1 coins.  My geek ass went out and bought Legend of Mana with a bag full of "gold coins" on release date.

The only Square games I bought for PS1 that I wasn't able to play through completely were Brave Fencer Musashi and Threads of Fate.  One of these days I should go back and give them a go.

Not a bad game. Great graphics. Good battle system.

Truly an amazing game! And it is funny seeing as I just started back playing it from scratch on Monday lol

I still have and play Saga Frontier! I liked part 2 but I felt one was better...not sure why.

Same here. I tried.  Even bought the guide. Couldn't get into it.

I kmow right! The only other game I've spent that many hours wandering around through the open world is Super Mario Bros

Yup, no comparison.
Chrono Cross has a 94 on metacritic while LoD has a 74, while it deserves way more than that.

I don't get why one would even say CC is underated.

Oh it is not underrated at all. Just under appreciated because it was not a direct sequel to Chrono Trigger which I found to be OK at best but I absolutely love Chrono Cross and when they annouce The Legend of Dragoon 2 at the Paris event or TGS I will probably have a stroke or heart attack lbvs....

I got some hope boost after FF7R was announced.
Maybe this gen we will actually see another LoD!

No lie if they just announced and do a remake from the ground up, over hauling the graphics and controls while keeping the core gameplay  and battel system the same I would but it even at $60 lol. But I am with you hopefully this will be the gen that they revive it!
