Level 5 does need to make a sequel to ni no kuni, but it shouldn't have anything to do with oliver. As far as i'm concerned olivers story is finished, so it'd be nice to see this potentially be a franchise where every game has its own characters and story, but still revolves around the monster taming aspect.

Level 5 had planned to announce a new title at E3 for PS4. Did we ever figure out if that was Dragon Quest XI or is it something else entirely such as Ni No Kuni 2 or ROGUE GALAXY 2!!!

Dragon Quest is made by Square Enix. Nothing at all to do with Level 5.

Actually, Level-5 was the main developer for Dragon Quest VIII, Dragon Quest IX, and is involved with Dragon Quest XI (not as a main developer though).

The game only received that much attention because of the JRPG drought that we had during last gen. The game itself was more than average. Very beautiful graphically but very forgettable in terms of gameplay or even storyline. I doubt there will ever be a sequel.

For the release of the DS version, Level 5 sent 600,000 copies to stores for the japanese launch and the game failed to sell all those copies. Even today, the game still hasn't sold those 600,000 copies (it's at .54 million right now). Wonder where all those leftover copies are now.

Needless to say, the game failed to live up to Level 5's expectations. Their objectives were much more modest for the PS3 version.

Level 5 is the studio that aims for excellence but can only acheive averageness. They simply lack the talent to make anything that will mark gaming history.

Silly me.... I just played it again for the gameplay and the story.

I've been thinking they dont care. They make a ton of money with Yokai Watch spin offs.

I hope, but need refine a little the combat, could be even better.

This.

I'm about to finish the game and it's been too easy, tactics and stuff are worthless when you can just auto attack and time your blocks.

If NNK2 ever happens i hope weapons and armors can actually be seen, my familiar has a hammer equiped and he still attacks with his hands, lame.

Still, it's a solid 7, good game, if they refine the combat it could easily be an 8.

I really hope so as original was amazing

Damn I didn't see the question mark right away, for a split second my heart jumped with joy.

I'm really hoping for another one, sequel or different story altogether. Hopefully the talent of studio Ghibli hasn't all left yet :/

Please Please Please Please!!!!
