Yes they said it's not warriors..

DQH already deviated a bit and has some bigger enemies. This probably goes even further than that

I actually really like the idea of the Warriors formula being changed up like this, with much fewer and much tougher enemies.
If done right, this could be a very intense and exciting game as opposed to the usual mindlessness of the games.

I always figured SotC was a good base for a AoT game.  Obviously incorrporated 3D gear to move around, but the whole tiny versus huge dynamic and a specific weak point is there.  Find out soon enough.

This isn't a musou/warriors game.

It's an attack on titan game in its own right.
