I can't help but feel that Microsoft makes some great moves, like backwards compatability, resolving a lot of resolution gate issues (eventhough I never found it a big deal) and releasing great games. However, everytime they make great decisions, they take two steps back. With the money they invested into tomb raider they could've made phantom dust or a new ip. I will be piss if I don't hear anymore new titles at gamescon. Not because Microsoft doesn't have a solid lineup of games, but because I know that the money they forked over for tomb raider, they could've done something better like maybe bring back Battle Toads or invested more into phantom dust. My two cents.

Microsoft is a company that deals in big business. I have little doubt that it is a lot easier to get budget approval for buying limited exclusivity for a known, high-volume IP like Tomb Raider than it is to get a new IP funded, especially when "AAA" isn't written on the proposal.

Still, I'd love to know how much power Spencer actually has and if he is in full control of where his budget is spent. Of course, a lot of that was likely already allocated when he took over but it will be interesting to see how much of the framework he changes over the coming years. I get the feeling he'd like to build a few more studios but that's likely a decision that will require higher level approval.

Yeah they are garbage, it's why PS4 is 23.8 and MS is 13 million....Same rehashed gears , halo forza, and bad busienss practices...Sad thing is TR will get stomped this holiday...what a terrible waste of money. No one is buying an xox over Tomb raider.

Ok, well porting a game to a PC that has better graphics still applies to your arguemnt. Which is what I was arguing from the begining. Also, this was off topic and reported.

I do too. They wasted their money on it. Should have spent it on making their own games, or on marketing deals with third party's.

MS have no talent to make they own game period so they paid huge sum of $$$$ to get other game exclusive
(that show how they afraid of the competitor)
