Forums - Gaming Discussion - Some off screen footage of BLOODSTAINED: Ritual of the Night. How close do you think it will come to looking concept? Better or worse than MN9?

At the very least I want Symphony of the Night level fluid animation.

Doesn't look like it's worth the budget. Games like Divinity: Original Sin and Pillars of Eternity blow this out of the water graphically.

Not only is that super old footage that is off screen and only concept, but no one can honestly compare the two with that kind of footage.

I remember seeing this video more than a month ago, so this is probably pretty early stuff. Still fluid animation is always better.

I'm not asking for a direct comparison. As we know MN9, looked better as concept. I think its because the choose to use 3D models instead of sprites, which I wish they went with with. Now MN9 looks like it was made in Little Big Planet.

Bloodstained is doing sprites. Let me rephrase: Will Bloodstained do the concept art justice unlike MN9?

Sorry, but Bloodstained isn't doing sprites. It's doing cell shaded.

Bloodstained isn't doing sprites. It's cel-shaded 3D models. Think Guilty Gear Xrd.

no. Both look like generic PC RPG games. The artstyle allready looks better for Bloodstained and its smoother. original sin is also 3D

Yeah, everyone loves repeating backgrounds of gigantic windows. So creative.

I love how you call Bloodstained creative (what we have seen so far is incredibly bland, it might as well be a gag in the Simpsons, in fact it was), but two KS masterpieces generic... So what if Divinity is in 3D? That means it's more demanding and it still looks better.
