Forums - Gaming Discussion - Most impressive open world in a game you've played

If people consider Witcher 3 open world than the best for me is easily Everquest. To date nothing has been able to beat the scale, sense of achievement and ongoing support.

Otherwise Dark souls, San Andreas and Far cry 3 are at the top of my list. GTA 5 feels smaller with less things to do. (haven't played Bloodborne and FC4 yet)

The original Legend of Zelda.

Just kidding.

Cept maybe kinda not. ;)

Gotham City from Arkham Knight. I'm impressed (a lot of details, amazing atmosphere and tons of destructible stuff!).

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Tie between Dragon Age Inquisition and The Witcher III.

PC GAMING: BEST GAMES. WORST CONTROLS

A mouse & keyboard are made for sending email and typing internet badassery. Not for playing video games!!!

GTA Sandreas.

Elder Scrolls: Oblivion..

Dragon Quest VIII. How they managed to fit this huge gameworld (for the time) into the 32MB of RAM of the PS2 is beyond me

Ram memory doesn't have anything to do wih that, only with the are being rendered at the moment.

AC4 had a beautiful world.

Fallout 3, really felt like I was in the old Ruins of DC and loved the game overall as well.

Fallout 3 or a heavily modded Skyrim.
