Sorry but NZ has a population of, what, 5M. It's much easier to regulate firearms there. Beautiful country, btw - especially the South Island.

You guys hear the news that our marines should not wear their uniforms after this attack? So now our own trained forces should now hide in our own country?

Why don't you put the flag at half-staff like you did with the Boston Marathon bombing, the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, or the mass shooting at Fort Hood Texas?

it just amazes me that people do not understand the consequences of leaving all of the responsiblity for their wellbeing in the hands of other flawed human beings

btw I just read the human rights bill again, nope there is no right to defend yourself, because if the human rights are observed there is no need to

Did you even read the three examples that I posted?  

Boston Marathon bombing -  Random civilians

Sandy Hook Elementary School - Children

Fort Hood Texas - Soldiers at an American military base

All of those examples were shootings at different targets, resulting in the flag be put at half-staff under President Obama.

Now we have 4 marines and one sailor dead at a marine recruiting center in Chattanooga Tennessee. How is that any different from Fort Hood Texas?  You have military personnel that are livid that President Obama didn't put the flag at half-staff.  That speaks volumes....

why not start banning rope, acid, knives etc etc etc?

they can all be used to harm right? and apparently knives kill more than handguns yearly... as i said the problem is not guns and never has been, it is that people sometimes wish to harm other people and its not going to stop

 

and buying into this silly idea that we can just put systems in place so no one will be harmed and all will be provided for is how dictatorships are formed by the very people they oppress

Hah, it seems we'll never stop seeing people who decry progress, because we'll 'never stop every instance of evil'.  So yeah, might as well give up on it all, right?
