My wish is for Sakurai but that ain't happening I hear a lot say Takeda, is he a good replacement? Never heard much of him until recently

Takeda would make a good president... but he's 11 years older than Iwata was.

And I don't think some of you know how important it is to be Japanese in a Japanese company.

My guess as I mentioned before, is Phil Harrison. Think about it, Nintendo is the only place he hasn't worked yet, and he's a free agent. Getting him in there will strengthen thid party relationships.

And with a new console coming out, he's the perfect choice. He's overseen 2 console launches already. It's destiny.

That would be terrible some one else please!

Reggie's little more than a PR string puppet obeying NCL. He won't ever be Nintendo's global president.

He shouldn't and he most likely won't

Reggie is not gonna be president. He would have to go to japan and would have to learn japanese if he doesnt know yet. I dont see him interested in doing that to himself and his family.

Unless he ran it from here. Whose to say, one day, Nintendo's headquarter's HAS to be in Japan?

Probably the shareholders. But yeah... you can't seriously be sugesting that. Its an old japanese company based on traditional japanese values. They will seppuku before they let it come to the US.

My perfect scenario would be:

Nintendo CEO: Masahiro Sakurai
NoA president: Bill Triten

I like Reggie but just for the laughs he is entertaining, but I would never trust the fate of my favorite company to him.

Yeah... no.

Reggie is not the right man for the job.

Reggie is not the right race for the job, either.

You mean... the supreme overlord pc masterrace?...

Time's are changing. They can still be traditional and still be mostly employed by Japanese guys, but seriously Japan is dying in terms of non mobile video games (Sony knows it and Nintendo knows it). Yea the 3ds still sold what 20 mil in Japan, but it was a decent amount down from the ds. Eventually, Nintendo is going to have to realize that if they are going to survive they are going to have to embrace the western way of life because there are millions of fans over here more than Japan (especially in the future).

I would have huge trust issues with him in that position, and Im a westerner.

I can imagine a old japanese company based on strong traditional japanese values, would have a hard time with reggie as CEO as well.
