Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why Do You Love Final Fantasy Tactics?

The title says everything... says why you love this game that for me is in my TOP3 FF of all time even being a spin-off.

I was having a discussion about that in another thread and remembered a funny article about it.

Why Everybody Loves Final Fantasy Tactics

The article is about some developers saying why they thing poeple loves this game.

Sad the good sequels (FFT Advance) didn't lived to the original most because they removed almost everything that made FFT classic.

So give your opinion about this game releases in 1998.

I played FFTA first and only then the classic, which I found to be way less fun.

FFTA for the win!!

I personally love A2: Grimmiore of the Rift. I actually have two copies of it too.

Less customizations... inferior class/job system and the Judgement System makes me thing FFTA is a bit worst compared with FFT... even so the two FFTA are great games.

Ohhhhhh the story is way better on FFT too (don't let you be confused by the terrible translation of the original US version).

I lmao at how random encounter fights become harder than storyline battles. When I realized this after my usual JRPG leveling up it was too late. Random encounters were challenging while storlyine fights became push-overs.

I got Cloud! :D

The random encounters were based on your own level.

The storyline battles were just fixed level... so if you are over level up then it becomes really easy.

I started with FFTA but I like FFTA2 even more. They polished up a lot of things and added a lot of good features so it's definitely on my top 10 NDS games of all time

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

One thing I found very interesting from the storyline is the original take on social classes. There is the theme of discrimination to those who aren't Blue Blood.

You have the commoner looking for justice after the royalty's discrimination and abuse, but the story is not about the poor standing up to oppression, is about Ramza, being royalty, seeing past his own social status and becoming the hero of this story and not even getting and looking for the credit on his accomplishment.

I love Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy XII. :)
