the way XBONE is going, there is no way HALO 5 will sell 20million

only if they suddenly start bundling every XBONE from now till the end of the generation with HALO 5

The XB1 will sell more than 20 million for the rest of the generation.

well yeah,it shud make 40-50million sales lifetime

but they will stop HALO 5 bundling when HALO 6 releases

9-10million lifetime I still think that it will outsell Uncharted 4 even if slightly.

My gut feeling is Halo sells less than 9million units.. and that Uncharted outsells it by alot.

Honestly from what we ve seen of Halo, and of Uncharted and the reactions people have had to both (here and neogaf)...

I dont know... I dont think Halo will outsell Uncharted.

I dont think that Uncharted is going to outsell it by Alot imo peoples expectations for that are too big in terms of sales, Sure Halo 5 doesn't have the hype that H3 had but then again its still Halo, even Odst managed to sell over 6 mill and that was basically an expansion

In my opinion, Uncharted still can't beat Halo. While its legs may be shorter long term, Uncharted won't be able to beat Halo.

it cud easily this time around

HALO is fatigued franchise

Also HALO is no longer one of the few greatest franchises and no longer king of FPS games

Last two HALO Reach and HALO 4 sold 9.5million with maketing, bundling, discounts, etc

Plus the best selling game on XBONE is COD Advanced Warfare which sold 4.5million

HALO 5 will not only suffer from Great Competition from other big games and franchise fatugue but also from small XBONE installbase which is growing very slowly

HALO 5 will make 6 million easily but will take time to make it to 8million and very tough above that, not counting bundling

Will beat Halo easily given the PS4 over xbox advantage.

Halo is not halo that it once was, especially now compared to H3 and odst time.

10 million lifetime.

FW: 3m.
LT: 9m.

I think it will do well cause it'll be the first Halo of the system, so it'll have enough time to grow, even if slowly like Halo 3 did.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

2.7 million first week, 6.5 lifetime and it loses to uncharted in sales.

We have -
Franchise fatigue
A mainline game not developed by bungie
Mixed reaction from what's shown (performance issues with split screen)
The MCC fiasco
And lastly, a dwindling user base.

Honestly it seems unrealistic to expect a 3.5mil first week

6.5 million seems quite low, comparable to CE, which sold on a userbase of just 24 million. The XB1 will sell much more than that.

Halo 5 has a strong hype train behind it.
I think people need to know what fatigue really means, instead of throwing it out there like the word "generic".
The refreshed gameplay/MP aspects
The open battlezones reminiscing of H3
The fantastic storytelling looming in this journey
Will push Halo5 to close to 4 mil this time FW.

343i will show how a complete package is supposed to be delivered.

I said 6-8.

For those saying 10mill...XBO is at like 12-13 mill right now. How would 10mill sales for halo 5 make sense?
