Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Peter Moore recounts $1.15bn Xbox 360 Red Ring of Death saga

The RROD was the main reason I never got a 360 and why I stayed with Playstation. The RROD was probably the biggest disaster in gaming hardware history.

How many nights do you perform, and do you recommend the veal?

That's quite the personal question... you should ask Tamron..

Is Tamron your agent or back-up dancer?

I am praising Microsoft for this, at least they serious about trying to fix this, but hey shit happen and then the funny thing is shit happen again with Xbox One DRM Lol.

Your praising Xbox for releasing a bad product, one that they knew was bad only because they spent a bunch of money...

You can't buy good will with money alone.

No, i am praising because  how serious Microsoft trying to fix this, i understand that money is not the only thing, but they just a green member who just recently involved on Videogames Industry and what the got is money, at least they did something.

Someone at MS might have a green member, I wouldn;t know I don;t read the tabloids, but MS is certainly not a green player. They've had a video gaming platform for longer than Sony had one, it's called Windows. There's nothing green about MS other than Aaron Greenberg.

It's good to hear someone talk about, sometimes it feels like we aren't allowed to because of fanboy trolling. It was an odd situation, basically only MS out of the companies in the industry could afford putting aside a $1billion to fix this issue, that would have confirmed Sony's fate and Nintendo may still be here but hurt beyond belief.

Hmm, pie.

They only did it because a class action lawsuit directly would of been worse for the company as a whole.

yeah you probably right .

It would have been the same for any company. When Sonys firmware update bricked there systms last gen, i am sure Sony didnt go to extremes tryng to help there customers. My mate never got a new PS3 for it, he had to buy a new one. MS had a choice to fix the issue or drop the 360 and move on, and they fixed it and continued on making consoles. The 360 is one of the best Consoles ever made in terms of innovations and quality (after RROD innodent) It was out preforming the PS3 which on paper was a supeiour console. Not trying to get into a fan boy argument but the 360 was a great system and did wonders to the industry, it made Sony lower there price, it added a great online network and featured the best controller ever made. MS saved it and thats a good sign, shows they really care for the Xbox brand.
