i dunno how they could possibly sell that though.  i feel like even the most faithful nintendo fans would baulk at upgrading to a console that isn't an upgrade no matter how cheap it is.

If this happens to be true, it could possibly be something equivalent to selling the Wii U & Wii U Gamepad separately for $150 each but the Gamepad being able to play even when away from the console.

I don't think they would use the same chipset.

Nintendo has lots of problems with the Wii U chip. It's expensive because they're basically using an ancient IBM part that they can't do a die shrink on so that's stuck on 40nm.

The Renesas embedded RAM they use on the system is also a problem because there's only one factory that makes it, and Sony owns it and will eventually phase out production of it.

Nintendo is likely dying to get out from under the Wii U's ugly legacy, it's an expensive piece of hardware because of bad design decisions and forced Wii backwards compatibility.

If they do want to go the "cheap console" route they can do so today with much better options than what the Wii U chip offers, not only for cost but performance too. 

Imagination (PowerVR) and ARM + AMD can both likely give Nintendo a chip for cheaper than what they're paying for the Wii U that is much more powerful and even much more power efficient.

they sell it to all the persons who dont read gaming forums and think the wiiu is just an updated wii.

If it comes out with less power than the Xbox One they might as well hang up their boots. Third parties aren't going to care.

Well, the wii u can easily run Kingdom hearts 3 in 720p and should easily cost $150 to consumers in 2017. fake rumour aside, something with the exact same power could also cost $150 in 2017.

Yeah, there's no way that this can be true. Nintendo's going to try some gimmick again. Hopefully it can be successful this time, but I'm not sure. That price though is the biggest red flag of why this is fake.
