It seems to me that them going multi plat hardly gave them sales boost but rather just split the sales on 2 consoles.

And people were saying the 360 version would end up being the better selling one...though I still consider this neck and neck and a very good game no matter what console it's on...just kind of laughing at all the arrogant 360 fanboys thinking all PS3 versions of multi-plat games are inferior. This is definitely a "PWNED!" moment.

I disagree. I haven't played it yet so I can't comment on how good it may or may not be, but this doesn't strike me as the kind of game that would make 360 owners run to get a PS3, so going multiplatform expanded their potential market.
Getting to a million units in only 6 weeks is pretty good compared to other PS3 titles. Call of Duty 4 and Assassin's Creed got there in 4, but Uncharted took 11, and Heavenly Sword and R&C are still waiting.
VGC seems to have overtracked the 360 version of DMC4 in America by a bit as well.
Good, Does anybody recommend this game? The reviews seem kinda bad ,but I like the demos.

Have you played the first 2? I would reccomend going back and playing the first 1 or 2 before you pick the 4th one up. If you like those then yes I would reccomend it.
