--------------------------------------------

A few weeks ago Andrew House said that, the rest of 2015 would be "sparse" in terms of first-party titles and though this could be interpreted as bad news (which it was), I personally think it is good, well, mostly good. I would have liked Sony to release a few more games up until fall, but that is basically it.

There are TONS of great games coming out this fall, including a few first party titles, but the truth is, that I would much rather have Sony filling the "gap" that is January-August, because  Fall is always too crowded.

Taken from one of my other threads.

This here, is the release schedule for each and every game released for Playstation 4 and Xbox One in 2014. See what I mean?

Jan-Apr: PS4 (31) - XBO (13)

May-Aug: PS4 (47) - XBO (26)

Sep-Dec: PS4 (102) - XBO (73)

This is totally ridiculous.

Imagine if we could somehow even it out, so that every month/week during the year we would have something amazing to play.

I don't understand what point you're trying to make here.

It's only sparse in terms of first party. There are quite a few good third party exclusives coming, and the Uncharted Collection.

Get your point though, I'm glad Sony doesn't just lump everything together at the end of the year, just so they can make claims about how they 'won'.

they will have much more even this year

same lol I will be getting all those games except nba. You can easily spend 200+ hours on any of those games. And there is an amazing mix of singleplayer and multiplayer games.

That is true. Plenty of good games coming available on the platform starting September.

*From a business perspective it's probably a good thing moving outside of Fall.

Errr, they're filling the gap between January and August how exactly? Order and Bloodbourne in q1 then what?

Also so you would be ecstatic if Somy had exclusives his fall alongside uncharted, more so than their current output.

Yeah, everyone bitches about how Sony has no games this Fall. i think with as many games are coming out i am glad Sony isn't going to throw out an exclusive in the fray. I think Sony does better when its out of the holiday season. Look at how well second son and bloodborne did in the spring. As much as i LOOOOOOVE Bloodborne, it would have gotten crushed by Fallout,Battlefront, Call of booty, ext.
How i see it during tax season Sony throws out one or two games. They get media attention because there isn't enough games to actually cover. By the time holiday season rolls around Sony can either bundle them in the system for black Friday or even lower the price so people tack them to their shopping cart. I think is really smart!
