Were any concrete examples mentioned?

I stopped watching a couple of mintues in. Starting with the Project Cars situation and the conclusions made after they said they're short of the goal they had with the game. Not that they shouldn't be criticized, but people are quick to lump them with EA, etc. Then mentions 3D World lacking online and Splatoon lacking voice chat being excused as "developer's vision". 3rd parties don't get that excuse.

I didn't watch much more than that.

basically this. Nintendo developers get free passes, that 3rd parties dont get from the nintendo fan base.

Also stuff like "boycout" campaines ect, hes saying Nintendo fans arnt helping the lack of 3rd party development on the consol.

It sounds like hes also disappointed in the way Nintendo & their developers are treating their fanbase,

when nintendo fans request options that the other consols have.

Here's the rub:

3rd parties have really no incentive to make definitive editions of their games for Nintendo home consoles. They have to develop on weaker hardware and the best results they can expect is that the overall mix of sales favors a Nintendo platform slightly over PS or Xbox. There's very little to no recent evidence of a Nintendo home console really contributing much to a 3rd party game's sales. Why would that change now?

With sales of MK8, SSB, and other Nintendo 1st party games outpacing their GameCube counterparts, even as WiiU falls behind GC in hardware, never has it been more true that people buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games.

The best you can hope for is if NX can beast up on X1 and PS4 while Nintendo cuts their royalty/licensing rates. Then and only then will 3rd parties have real incentive to aggressively pursue the Nintendo home console platform. The alternative Nintendo fans seem ready embrace in the meantime: IP outsourcing/crossovers similar to Hyrule Warriors and Pokken Fighters

they cant make a definitive version even if they wanted too. Hell the only game that would be considered that was Rayman Legends and even then it wasnt the best selling one, not even close

This it doesnt help that it seems like Ninty arent even trying in this regard.

I dont think you have to have an two sided opinion about everything, nintendo wans have every right to be a bit upset if Wii U doesnt get a feature that some other console has because they are too lazy or they want to earn even as much money possible, i know everyone likes money but isnt there room left for some fanservice? Also most third party games like assassins creed and COD are not fun anyway

well, some game sell realy well on nintendo consoles.  the wiiu version of rayman is realy close to ps3 and 4, and the nintendo fanbase raged alot about the game because ubi had to do some anitconsumer things

whats sad is he sounds like a really dedicated nintendo fan, thats just disappointed to see nintendo go downhill.
He wants nintendo to be on pair with xbox one/ps4, when it comes to features and support.

See this is the thing, most people who rag on Nintendo fans for not buying third party games, dont have a Nintendo system in the first place themselves so they cant see where Nintendo fans are coming from this current generation.

People tell Nintendo fans they should buy third party games and support third party developers, yet nearly every third party game that has been released on Wii U this generation has been gimped or missing features that should be in the game and charge full price for it and people expect Nintendo fans to buy the game just because. That doesn't make any sense.

So it leaves Nintendo fans in a weird situation, sure Nintendo fans need to buy third parties and support them to show that third parties should support Nintendo consoles, but at the same time, third parties dont even treat Nintendo users with the same respect that they do the other consoles, so it goes back to ''why should Nintendo fans support half assed efforts''

Weird situation indeed

Nintendo fans keep askin for third party support, and when they get it, they don't go and buy them.

My stack of games will say differently lol. If a game interests me I get it. Although, if it doesn't, I don't. I don't tend to buy on day one for the most part so if something gets brutal scores I will likely pass on it unless the interest outweighs that. Waited on Sonic Boom and I'm glad I did after the demo came out. I waited a long time after Watchdogs and got it for $25 but I'm completely happy with it. I also have a large selection of Nintendo games as well, but I just play what I like and what interests me.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

Added to watch list! Love me some Shokio

for that to happen they would at the very least have to make a system that is actually on par with PS4/xone. its a crazy thought i know
