Disclaimer: Re-releases/Remasters/Late ports etc are not considered for this evaluation. Any game not on a competitors console is considered to be an exclusive.

Xbox One: Fantastic console, plenty of games to play but lacking in quality exclusives. Sure it's had some that have been very highly rated, but I'm not a fan of racing games (Forza), 2D Platformers (Ori) and I found Sunset fairly boring. So for me personally it is severely lacking in that area.

Wii U: Lagging being the Xbox One and PS4 in many areas as a console. Severely lacking in 3rd party games and relies almost entirely on its 1st party line up which for me is more miss than hit. No interest in fighters (Smash) and Super Mario 3D World was a huge disappointment after the stellar Mario Galaxy games. The fantastic Mario Kart 8 is however a bright spot for the console.

PS4: Similar to the Xbox One in many ways. Many of the same features, almost all the same 3rd party games. However it fares much better on the exclusive front, while I have no interest in Bloodborne the likes of Infamous and Killzone I consider to be fantastic games. Additionally the future looks very bright with a number of very promising games coming to the system in the future.

3DS: Utilises a gimmick that some may enjoy but does absolutely nothing for me, luckily it doesn't negatively affect the actual games since it is completely optional and all games work just as well (IMO better even) without it. As for the games front... well it's a handheld... I really can't say I'm that interested in handheld games. IMO they are inherently inferior to home console games. Fortunately it does however have the fantastic Pokemon series among its library.

Vita: Hardware and feature wise far superior to the 3DS. Games wise however... well... what games? Nah, I kid there are actually plenty of games for the Vita. Similar to the 3DS though they are still only handheld games and just aren't as good as proper home consoles games, not a single ones stands out to me either.

Winner: PS4!
It's got quantity, quality and the brightest future of any of these consoles. Couldn't possibly choose anything else

Wierd, seeing you in the xb empire thread very often, I would have guessed your favorite console would be  xb1.

I'd have to go with the 3DS. I've sunk so many hours into the games on it and the portability is great as well.

Here's how I would rank them. Depending on what's ahead for the Xbox one it may edge out the WII U if the WII U fails to give out more great first party titles.

1. PS4
2. 3DS
3. WII U
4. Xbox One

5. PS Vita

Xbox One

Add me on Xbox: DWTKarma

WiiU  the gamepad is awesome (off tv play etc.) despite having crappy battery life and smartphone BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT rumble.

Even tho a library is pretty irrelevant for judging a console by itself the 3DS has the best library.
(to me it kinda feels like SNES2)
Fire Emblem
Zelda
Xenoblade
Resident Evil
FantasyLife
Bravely Default
Smash
Mario Kart
Mario
Dead or Alive
Street Fighter
Castlevania
Batman
Donkey Kong
Kingdom Hearts
Paper Mario
Mario&Luigi
Pokemon
MonsterHunter
Luigis Mansion
Kirby
Professor Layton
Persona
Ghost Recon (RTS)
Shin Megami Tensei
Etrian Odyssey
Starfox
MarioGolf
etc etc.

And thats only retail games.

Vita. So much Nep.

I only have a Wii U and a Vita... I choose the 3DS

3DS, no contest.

I feel like it has a good chance of being my favorite of the entire generation when all is said and done. The others (the home-consoles) are newer of course so I'll hold off with the final judgement, but I feel like they need to go a very long way to match what 3DS brought to the 8th Gen.
