I don't mind them.

However

When you ask a woman if she's on her period and she's on her period, dive duck dodge and roll

Not particularly a fan, but I don't mind it either.

If women dislike that guys or even girls (sometimes) say that they are on their period while they are angry. Then you shouldnt do it, but all this depends on wich situation. No one likes to hear these things, but over the internet there are always jerks who say things like that or are just having a bad day or something, there will always be insults but we can work to make them less ofc. but i also think people should not take everything seriously what everyone says but when everyone says it enough of times you can get really annoyed. All this has an preatty easy answer. If you have nothing nice to say, dont say anything at all, and also dont play dumb. Being sarcastic in some situations is fine though.

My wife blames her attitude on her period sometimes so I guess she is stereotyping herself. I would never call someone out like that unless they were a close friend or relative. I get called a pussy all the time by my friends. pretty much telling me to man up. I do the same to them. Depends on the person and the relationship between the two.

Best not to ask at all then, no?

Your post is offending me and insinuating I change my personality to suit what you deem is acceptable.

And therein lies the problem.

Merica.

Also I don't say that to strangers. It's women I have been or are romantically involved with, or friends

I actually despise gender roles and stereotypes (as well as those phrases).

That being said, phrases like these shouldn't be banned or anything. They're stupid as fuck, but people have a right to say them.

Yeah but putting personal feelings is it socially acceptable for people toake such comments, in today's society?

Again, it doesn't matter about todays society. If no one's feelings are getting hurt and no one is uncomfortable, there is literally no issue.

Do I use them? Yes, in a joking manner.

Would I ever use them with someone I do not know? No.

the first example is just plain immature if it's in the presence of a woman, if it's just guy talk it's not that big of a deal

the second example is stupid, unless it's just a silly joke. i think these days in households where both people have to work, you take on tasks that might be outside of traditional roles. a husband may do laundry or cook dinners if the wife has to work later. it's just a fact of life these days. i would love for my wife to be a stay at home, but it's just not in the cards therefore i cook virtually all meals, she does the laundry, and we share on doing the dishes. sometimes when i mention to older folks that i cook they get a big kick out of it, but we live in a different time where we have to work more hours for less money thanks to the government

With friends if you've established comfortability with the other recipient, however, if it is with a stranger, then it's not the best move as you don't know what that other person is like.

I used to joke around like this pretty much all through high school and my friends did the same. I'm from South Asia, so you probably know some of the jokes I got. However, I did get some pretty awful remarks from people in my class who I didn't consider friend.

All depends on the timing, context, and individual.
