Famitsu scores are known to be mostly irrelevant for the west. But today the XCX score (34/40) has created some polemic about it. 

Well, here we have some comparisons between famitsu scores and western scores.

Should we really trust in famitsu scores?

(BTW I think a 34/40 can be a good score, just see Uncharted 3 or Rayman Legends, they have the same score and they had amazing reviews on the west)

I think making threads like this makes the situation worse :/

I dont really get what not to trust about them as well in terms of XCX... I get that 85/100 is not a score that we expected but it aint that bad :/ But I will say that their scores have always been wonky

But overall, I never trust any single review site for anything hence why I use metacritic instead

I'd go with GameRankings over Metacritic.

Exactly. 

People on both sides are being ridiculous right now. There's no reason to point and laugh at people anticipating the game because of an 85, and similarly, there's no point in being angry at Famitsu over their thoughts. It's one review. That is it.

As for Famitsu, i never pay any attention to them.  Gametrailers, Gamespot, IGN, Polygon, and a few of the other big ones is all i pay attention to.  Honestly, most of metacritic reviewers are random sites ive never heard of.  I know Famitsu isnt on there, but they would just be another one i dont pay attention to
