Yeah, the word "rumor" should have tipped you off.

Sounds good. Although I'll believe it when I see it. Also, it had better not be another look at all these games we have coming in the next 5 years kind of thing. Need the games now!

You expect something diferent? The only way they show soon releasing games is if they decided to finish all the scraped games for kinect they left mid completition when the kinect was abandon.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Microsoft with a new first party IP? That can happen?

I kid, but you have to admit its very unusual by comparison to Nintendo and Sony... I mean when was the last time MS had a new IP of their own that was of the caliber of Last of Us and Xenoblade Chronicles? Or even of Codename S.T.E.A.M. and... I don't know Sony that well so the one I'm thinking of is slipping my mind.

it says "new exclusive ip", not "exclusive new ip"....HUGE difference.

Hopefully this new IP will be first party, but if I had to bet I would say it is a third party deal.

Hopefully, MS will have a wider range of exclusives this year. They have a decent amount of games coming up, but their lineup is in need of diversity.

Xenoblade and STEAM are not even in the same league as Last of Us...

Ori and the Blind Forest.  I may be remembering wrong but that was about a month ago.

On the contrary MSFT has been investing in new IP this generation like Sunset Overdrive, Ryse, Quantum Break, Project Spark, Scalebound, etc  WHile also trying to bring back old IP like Killer Instinct, Battletoads, and Phantom Dust.  Then you have their well established IP like Forza, Halo, Gears, Fable to go along with titles such as State of Decay, Crackdown, Zoo Tycoon, Max, etc

Theyve actually been doing pretty good this generation regardless of downplay.

And for the record neither MSFT or Nintendo has a developer on the calibre of Naughty Dog.
