Fueling more speculation that Microsoft has secured rights to a new Joe Montana game, the football legend tweeted today that he was visiting the Redmond campus in Seattle.
Without the NFL license, it's pointless. If 2K couldn't make it work, no one will be able to.
It needs to have NFL players and teams, otherwise ppl won't care. Madden needs competition no doubt, but another generic football game won't cut it.
Curious to see how this turns out. I use to like 2K more than Madden, so maybe they can bring that magic back, and i dont know make EA Sports actually try and make Madden better at the same time with competition :P
Its gonna be hard with no NFL License but still looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
They can go the classic route? I doubt that the NFL has the rights to retirees? If not, they could make a great game where you make your dream team and play as or manage them.

lol, but really though if this is the only way I can get my 2K back I am all for it.
At this point, I couldn't care less if it has an NFL or NFLPA license. Madden is beyond stale, and I'll support anything that helps bring an end to their monopoly on videogame football. We football fans deserve a game that's as good as NBA 2K or The Show, in terms of quality. Tiburon's had 10 years and has proven they can't get the job done.
