Forums - Gaming Discussion - I bought GTA V for PC...

So, I never played GTA v and now I bought this amazing game that I can't play yet, a retail version with 7 discs because I really like to have some cool cases, GTA V is one of those occasions. My review of the game is:

2 hours installing 7 discs, and now like 8 hours downloading a 5gb patch because Rockstar servers are slow as fuck. 11/10, PC Master Race.

Good for you.

Bold @ has more to do with incompetent developers than with being on PC  but other than that I agree.
I had to download the game for like a week and then I had to redownload the patch like 7 times because it stopped gave me some error code  and wantad me to try again but when I clicked "try again" it started at 0%.

Worst PC launch I ever experienced (I usually wait for discounts so I dont have much experience with launches but since the game was like 30 bucks I just bought it.)

yeah, rockstar is in my shit list even after the release date of gta v, incredible.

Rockstar are console-centric developers; there will be needless hassle for PC gamers.

That said; if I buy it when the price goes down (already have it for PS3), it'll be worth it due to modding community and the vastly superior technical aspects of the release. I will also be getting it digitally since I have a 250Mbit line in my place so the 7-disc nightmare won't really affect me.

Gotta love dem DVD install speeds but yea, the 5gb patch does suck! It is usually why I buy the steam version because it installed virtually everything in the pre-load including the patches and stuff and all I had to do was unpack it which didn't take too long.

But hopefully, the wait will be worth it for you when you start playing the game!
