The problem the other companies are not tasked with supporting two hardware platforms almost entirely on their own.

Nintendo can't just say "well sorry, we don't have content", they've made this bed now they have to lie in it.

Even Sony/MS really they base their business on having third party support drive their platforms, so it's not as big of a deal even if Uncharted is delayed.

COD/Madden/FIFA/Arkham/AC/etc. these franchises are to the PS/XB audience what Zelda is to Nintendo fans ... they're always getting a steady fill of content they want.

Nintendo fans though ... Wii U fans aren't happy. And neither are 3DS fans.
