Just... no... I dont think Xbox 1 will reach 70mil.

"I can estimate we can do around 10 million in 2015." - quote super6646.

Thats a very optimist prediction of sales.
Even now there are people saying the xbox is overtracked at its current 11 million showing on VGcharts.

I honestly dont see that happending, I think a more realistic prediction would be around 6-7mil, this year.

(probably closer to 6mil than 7).

6 million. That'd be down 2014, which I doubt.

Halo & GeOW + price cuts can boost the Xbox temporarily or its baseline but I don't see it eclipsing 60 Million. At best I go with 50 - 55 Million, NA & UK will be competitive but no where near the domination last gen. The One will probably finish with a lower lifetime total in mainland Europe & will lose significant sales there. Even its Japan sales have gone down from the 360 era.

Not sure about the one but MS Will eventually dominate the entertainment world in the living room at some point in the future with the web of markets they are involved in... And they can surely shrink the gap with the one if they play their ecosystem cards right.... People tend to have a narrow view on MS around here... They have way more than the one as a lever...

I doubt it. To many alternatives when it comes to the living room for ms to dominate. Apple tv, roku box which my dad just got and disconnected his cable. Plus the other thousands of devices that do the same.

All ms has is the X1 and its not even dominating in its own market. Your right some people do have a narrow view of MS at the same time some people have this unrealistic view of MS as a company that can do anything. They've failed plenty of times before.

I'd say an average of 11-12m for X1 / year, putting it at a LTD number of 60-70 million. Don't think it'll sell as well as the 360 did, but it won't have a problem breaking the 50m barrier and should do an absolute minimum of 60m when all is said and done.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

What ecosystem cards?

Unlikely.  When all said and done ill be lucky to be near 50 million, its not leading a single market.  It will be replaced faster like xbox was and support will be shut down abruptly killing any chances to sale a few later on and breaking even 50 million.

And high increases in year over year (11-12m) were killed with all the price cuts and bundled.  Due to that X1 is a front runner, they will do most their sales early and taper of into nothing.

Now I do go to these sale threads sometimes and look at people's estimates. I usually see around 100-120 million for the PS4, and I fully agree with that. Wii U is around 15-25 million and that seems good as well. But I look at the XB1, and I generally see 30-50 million. Now that's what I have to disagree with. The XB1 did around 8 million in its first year, which is not bad but meh. Anyway this year we have a lower price and Halo 5. I can estimate we can do around 10 million in 2015. Now people can think its a bit much, but really the PS4 should be ahead, but I think the XB1 can still do over 10 million. Also we have Halo 5 which SHOULD move consoles. Even if "most" Halo player's already have gotten the console, we should see a modest boost. Then we have 2016, and I'm predicting a slim Xbox One and a price cut to 249$. I'm almost certain this'll be the Xbox One's peak year. And I estimate it could push around 14 million. Then I see 2017 have a modest drop off to around 12 million. Now 2017 could peak 2016 but its unlikely, as I see this point at which many of the people who want the console already have it. Then I see 2018 drop a bit more to 10.5 million, but it should hold thanks to a new Halo (that's when I'm predicting a new Halo). Then 2019, with the release of the next gen systems, I can see around 8.5 million. That's a grand total of 62 million, plus of course the console still sells after the gen is over, and the other 8 million can come from there. That's a grand total of 70 million. If the gen is a bit shorter, I think it can still do but it'll be harder. Tell me what you think about this, and I'll be putting this in my sig to either be a show off or be a complete fool at the end of the gen.

Ever think you are the one over estimating x1 and everyone else is right??? No way your predictions will ever come true, more like wishfull thinking..

LMAo no, just no, The battler for the LR was lost years ago when mobile took off, thats a 1990s cero way of thinking and why the x1 is in the position it is. No one cares about one device for the living room anymore. Mobile, streaming are the future, and no one is buying a game console to do it, not does MS have a prayer eclipsing google and apple now.

What do you mean by ecosystem cards? MS ecosystem is woefull compared to its competitors apple google, and thay are loiung badly in gaming. Outside of windows MS is not in good shapre against the competition. They are years behind the the real, battle is mobile, not the living room, it's not 1998 anymore.

I think your the ne with the narrow view...MS are not the only ones who make moves...keep underestimating sony and playstation........dspite them dominating 3 out of 4 generations. Typical MS can do this and that while sony does noithing... Xbox is niche outside US and UK...they have no chance to narrow the gap, that would require them to start outselling ps4, and that is not happening.
