Will Halo 5 be delayed to 2016?

MCC was buggy because it had multiple dev companies working on different ports trying to fit them into the same unified experience. That's nothing like the Halo 5 situation. The smooth beta we had 3 months ago proved that they're on the right track.

Two different teams for Halo MCC and Halo 5 as well.

Probably Tomb Raider, not Halo.

The advertising for that game has already begun. It's coming out this year.

halo 5 is not being delayed. out of the 3 it was the only one to be played by the public, plus ms is starting the hype/marketing machine for it

Almost no chance. 1) MS demonstrated with MCC that they are willing to shove an unpolished product out if need be and 2) they have no choice. Nintendo can fall back on something in their exclusive fleet to some extent and aren't gaining much ground either way and Sony is already steaming ahead full speed, Uncharted or not. MS? Halo is their only active titan franchise. They *need* Halo this year, it's that simple.

The only way this would happen is if Microsoft wanted to push the release date to compete with the other platforms in 2016, but when you have the option of:

1) Delaying launch and pissing off fans, for what might turn out to be a detrimental choice

or

2) Capitalizing on the situation and ending the year with positive PR and likely, the lions share of sales in the US which pass on positive pr into the next quarter.

Well, which would you do?

The fact that UC4 and Zelda U were delayed does not increase the likelyhood of the same happening to Halo. It's gonna release this year unless it absolutely can't.

No way is Halo 5 getting delayed. Microsoft showed with MCC that they would rather stick to the schedule and ship a broken game rather than delay it to fix it properly. XBox only sells during the holidays in the US, and to not have Halo would spell disaster for them.
I fully expect Halo to make the scheduled release, and then to receive constant fixes to finally bring it to a playabke state sometime in the mid-2016.
