CosmicSex said: But where does it stop. Can a Dr. Say they are protected from Jews. And who defines what classifies as a religious belief. Skit too short? No services. You don't believe in my arbitrary deity? I can't serve you. The role of the government is to protect its citizens. Not to assist in discrimination. And why would you want to be around a bunch of people who only believe what you believe. It sould so unhealthy. |
Thats the point of stunting peoples intellectual growth, so they cannot understand that having a nation which is a safe harbor for varous ideologies helps rather than hurts. The problem with systems and people is that people mistaken the purity of whatever law or belief they follow. They bastardize it. For instance, communism is looked upon as a demonic thing, because when imperfect people wield it it becomes corrupt. Left alone the idea is always much better. The problem people cannot gather about religion is its 2000 year old moral dogma which has a fix on otherwise intelligent peoples ability to see and understand the world through science and actual practical education, which has application capacity after studies.
Mr Khan said: It's the petulant lashing-out of people on the wrong side of history and running out of options. A similar "religious freedom" push came after civil rights to justify segregated private (religious) schools and universities. The supreme court didn't sit for it (except for William Reinquist). |
The next Presidency is going to be very important, in that reguard. There's pontentially what, 3 or 4 seats up for grabs in the near future?

But it has a $85,000 initiation fee. Hows that not a business?

I don't think you can equate seperating people by gender with things like sexual orientation or race. There are often legitimate reasons to seperate people by gender (that example is not one of them, but there is still precedence).
