The Cleric Beast is on the bridge past the two werewolves, I think it's an entirely optional fight since defeating it you only get access to new items from the bath messengers and the path leads to a dead end.

Father Gascoigne drops a key but I'm pretty sure the item is deposited directly to your inventory upon defeat.

Did you pick up the tiny music box from Gascoigne's daughter?

Anyone know a good spot to get twin stone blood shards? I'm currently in Old Yharnam

Don't think you'll find any until you're past the cathedral.  The only two I've found so far were in the area that you need the hunter chief emblem you buy from the messengers to access.

Yeah I'm passed the cathedral or rather one area, the other area(straight from the lamp) leads to a locked gate

My bad, read old yharnam and thought central, but I think that's the gate that requires the hunter chief emblem to open.  Also keep an eye out for an enemy that carries a sack over its shoulder, they always drop shards like crystal lizards, except they're aggressive and hit really hard so be careful.

 yeah I gor the key, i was afird maybe he dropped an armor piece/weapon. to the spoler tag I don't think i met that person yet, is he/she in the beginning area?

Yep he had a rediculous ammount of health. In the end he fell off the edge, ill take the win though

anything special for him dying or just to remove his annoyance?
