Holidays went quite well and Nintendo made huge profit on 3ds, Wii U except Amiibo not so much. But ninty doesn't have a smash or Mario Kart this year. Also they don't have a new pokemon for 3ds so profit isn't guaranteed this year.

They have more games this year for the wiiU and they have games like Zelda and Starfox which are big hitters and they will sell very well. As for the 3ds, they have the new 3ds as a hardware and we don't know what else they got because Nintendo have always been known to keep their games a secret so just because they don't have anything announced doesn't mean that they don't have anything coming... Why do people even presume this is beyond me... For any platform really...

And not to mention that the wiiU is already up YoY and the 3ds will probably be up YoY as well which it already is

I wouldn't say it struggled to pass Wii U. It outsold it consistently for like 10 out of 12 months.

I can't see it happening considering the Xbox currently has no empty months in Q2 and the Wii U has no big releases dates worldwide except maybe splatoon? Splatoon in May will be countered by Witcher 3. Going by recent NPD Xbox One is shifting over 100k WW per week during a mild month, the Wii U not only would need to double its sales for the week, it'd need Xbox to have a bad week too, which means a week far from any big release.

Maybe if WIi U gets a price cut+ X release in early August. We could see the Wii U beat it for a week. Late august would clash with Madden. Anything after August is X1 due to the typical satuation of big third part releases starting with  MSGV, Mad Max and Fifa.

Hopefully not? Hopefully not? .... I'm sorry but why are you hoping the Wii U doesn't outsell the xbone atleast 1 week? Its good for competition and I can't wait for the week it happens I can bring this right back up and throw it in your face :)

If Zelda released during the holidays, X1 will still win. But I think splatoon releasing in a good time to win one week.

The XBO sales during the summer are always bad.
XBO sell actually 7% more than last year (NPD confirmed), last April/May, the XBO basis was around 40,000... seem that XBO will dropped ar 45,000/50,000 in April/May, and in the summer without game's/pricedrop.

Wii U can easy be above this number's with a game's released.

Calm down! Just giving Xbox haters a taste of their own medicine. :) Why would I want anything outselling my system of choice?

Theres no reason why the Xbox will drop to the same numbers it did last year considering its had a price cut, grown YOY with momentum from last holiday, shrugged off its bad image and has substantially better summer line up of next gen only game releases.

I wouldn't bet on the Xbox dropping far below 70k during its lowest point this year (actual number not VGC) and that won't be til late july/early august.

XBO have a pricedrop... ok, and so?

We already see the XBO number's with this pricedrop, and we have just +7% increase both in January/February, is even MUCH probabily that this March will be down, because last year was Titanfall, so, why yuo think that the price will make a difference when we already see that it don't have make a massive boost?

Last year XBO was ONLY Watch_Dogs?

Also, last Year XBO was EA Sport UFC, Sniper Elite 3, and other game's.

You know that Watch_Dogs is MUCH bigger game than Martal Kombat and The Witcher, really?

You 70,000 XBO basis for this summer just don't will happen...

One good commercial, aired widely, and a deep pricecut. This commercial would not be funny or clever, just a dude who says "For those of you without Nintendo's newest game console, here's what you've been missing out on." Cue a slow montage of gameplay footage, titles included, of all 1st party games. "...and here's what you're gonna miss out on later this year." Cue another montage of future game footage, including Zelda & Starfox. "The Wii-U is now $200, and has highly rated games you can't get anywhere else. True gamers should have no more excuses left." Maybe have the guy literally drop the mic there.

I think those two things would skew sales in Ninty's favor, and little else.
