It is good, people just argued it wasn't long enough.

I dont think you have played the game.

What part about it can be considered good except the graphics?

The story? No, just no. Gameplay? Generic shooter gameplay. Characters are a joke as well.

The game ends before it really starts, making it almost seem like they cut out a lot of content at the end. DLC will come, no doubt about that.

After reading this again I have to believe you haven't played it.  I believe there are plenty that played it and didn't like it, and that's fine.  But your description is just too far off.  If you did post your PSN.

The story was entertaining, certainly not worse than a Uncharted or Gears.

Gameplay was great, especially the gunplay, it was really satisfying with some amazing things to shoot with. The QTEs weren't intrusive at all. If it is generic, then so are all shooters.

Characters are awesome and unique, better than every other generic marine with an attitude. Gallahad is a true badass.

The Soundtrack is one of the best I've heard in this genre in a looooong time

The presentation was sublime, seemless transition of cutscene to gameplay with almost no load times, THIS IS A NEXT GEN FEATURE

I still got a good 8-9 hours out of it.

Pretty sure Sony, just like every other business, focuses on money. If The Order makes a good enough profit... It might see a sequal. If not, then it won't. The reception for The Order dampens the potential of it being a viable franchise to continue on with.

The reception Sony is looking for is the ones from gamers. I know personally nearly 50 people demanding Sony to do a sequel to this awesome new IP. Sony takes risks with IP, that's like saying they won't give David Cage another chance after Beyond TS had mediocre reviews and only a million in sales. Sony focuses on diverse experiencing in its IPs. Ranging from mainstream, to innovative, to niche. This first week sales and the response from peoe who actually OWNS and PLAYED the game  guarantees another chance for R@D. And I could t be happier!

I personally know 75 people who are happy with their Wii U's.

Good for them. It's a good console. That has no bearing on what we are discussing. Just you derailing cause you know you're making up all these Playstation fans who didn't like the game. Go down vote someone The Order youtube footage and get back in your cave...lol #troll

Sorry I've got better things to do with my time than downvote you tube videos, which is something you seem to know about it.  Nice attitude, by the way.

Anyways, I wasn't derailing.  I was making a correlation to how ridiculous a claim of how many people on your friends list liking something should be a barometer for whether or not that particular thing should be considered a success.  I, like many others apparently, disagree with your conspiracy theory that there was some type of "smear campaign" targeted at this game.

There's no linear correlation between sales and quality.

I played it before most people did, most likely including you. Don't even start. It wasn't good at all. Bad even. Some people think Sonic 06 was great, too.

Thank you for deciding for everyone whether a game was good or not. I'm not sure what we would do without you.

So true...

Destiny isn't a horrible game. It didn't live up to (most) people's expectations, and definitely wouldn't have sold as well without the hype, but that doesn't make it 'horrible'. I don't personally care much for the game (there's not enough unique content for me to want to dig my teeth into it), but an awful lot of people seem to have loved it. 'Polarizing' is probably a better description of Destiny.

An awful lot of people seem to have hated it as well. Myself being included.

I love Destiny but I do agree with all the criticism it gets (short, weak story, grindy as hell, etc) I'm not a blind follower like some fans of The Order in here, is so annoying how they don't acknowledge how flawed the game is.

There are definetly flaws...there are flaws in pretty much every game, to be fair.  I still consider it a pretty great experience, though (for me, anyway).

(I was hooked on Destiny forever even though I knew gameplay was really its only redeeming factor...just couldn't stop playing for the life of me).

I fail to see what's far off about it. Characters were really generic, though Tesla was fun. The story sadly ends before it should have. Setting it up perfectly for DLC / a sequel, but it should have been in this game still, especially considering the short playtime.

The gameplay was generic shooter gameplay, though some of the weapons were really cool. The weapons might actually be the best thing next to the graphics. It sadly doesn't help the game much though. It gets boring after a few hours.

Guess I need to eat my hat now.  Suprised at your opinions, but fair enough.
