For me playing our rival in New York is big one I care about, both sides have many question marks right now.

Also curious about San Jose opening their new stadium this weeked. Going from a small 9K ground to a roomier 18K one should be good for them. Only leaves a few clubs in the league with poor playing facilities (United are scheduled to break ground this Summer *fingers crossed*)

NYC vs. Colorado ends in a 0-0 tie. NYC played very poorly offensively in the first half then had a player ejected in the second as the offense was starting to come together. The defense and Saunders in goal played very well. NYC has five points on the season.

Scores are in, thought this might be more pleasing to the eye.

Big thing early on is sides struggling to score and gelling at this stage. I don't expect my DC United to score much without main scoring threats available for a few weeks.

Of all the clubs, it is Dallas who has really impressed early on. They are just an exciting side to watch as Pareja has them clicking. Barring injuries they look primed for a Shield run this year.

That is 2015 Colorado for you, play physical and do everything to break up play.

5 points after 3 matches is actually a great start, especially 2 points on the road. Right now NYCFC look better than I expected, but it is early in the season.

The goal right now is 24 teams by 2020, correct? And Bekcham and Miami have the 24th spot if they can get a stadium.  I bet they set plans for 30 by 2030 after settling in at 24 for a few years.

It was the goal, but many speculate the league is doing better than expected so not difficult to see going past 24 mark.

Miami seems in doubt right now, the stadium has had zero progress and things have gone dark there.  Most people (me included) are in favor of Sacramento being #24 as they have all the pieces together.  May even be so bold as to say they are more ready for 2017 than the proposed LAFC is right now.

My guess is league will stop at 30 at around roughly 2030 as that is the norm for US/Canada leagues.

Nice graphic showing how Cascadian rivalry (Vancouver, Seattle and Portland)

I really want to like and support MLS and see soccer grow in the US. However, truth be told, it is still a poor product. Once they raise the quality on the field, I will be sure to start watching it more closely.
