Battlefield: Hardline launches on March 17th. In 16 days. Yet, there has been very little coverage of this game. Neither versions are tracking in the top 150 on Amazon US (currently being beaten by other upcoming games such as Bloodborne and Mario Pary 10, in addition to games that came out years ago like Minecraft and Mario Kart Wii). It also isn't tracking particularly well on other websites such as GameStop.

So, the question is, will Battlefield: Hardline perform poorly? Is the series going to see a noticable decline from Battlefield 4? Is it possible that BF4 tainted the series, or does Hardline just not look interesting enough to be a standalone entry?

It will sell less than other bf games but probably won't flop

Idk probably. It depends what you think "Poorly" is. I mean I bet they would be happy with just 4m lifetime anyways. This isn't there main franchise, just a placeholder until Battlefront comes out. It really should just be a BF4 expansion though...

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

[Prediction Made 6/18/2014]

It won't perform anywhere near the mainline games, that's for sure. I'm a Battlefield fan and I frankly don't care at all about this game. Didn't even bother to try the beta.

It'll flop by BF standards, which means it will still do well.

Am I the only one suffering franchise fatigue for these games?

It shouldn't be compared to a full numbered release. It will sell maximum half of BF4 alone for the fact that's just a spinoff.
But I can see it doing fairly well with good reviews unless EA fucks up online again.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

It will be the worst selling Battlefield ever but it will not flop. I do not think EA expected it to sell on par with BF3 or 4. Its just a way to make some money off the series until BF5. Also to help give DICE more time to make Battlefront

To answer the poll, yes.

To answer the thread title, no.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I didnt even know the game releases this month. Based off of preorders, I'd say yes it will be a flop in comparison to other releases and shooters but I'm not completely sure.

Wow, didn't even know it was coming out this month. Yup, it will flop. There is no hype and I've even seen any adverts for it.
