i think spiderman should stay in his suit and not take te mask off. then they can just get a hobo to do it for a bottle of whiskey.

why do people like maguires performance so much. I always thought garfields spidey was way closer to the original

Andrew Garfield definitely should come back. His acting felt more believable as Peter Parker & Spiderman. I felt like Andrew didn't get a good enough chance to show his stuff because the actual story wasn't that amazing. Like having the perfect actor yet the script is horrible type of scenario.

Toby Maguire just wasn't believable, just some actor that luckily got the part. Kirsten Dunst was also an ugly Mary Jane.

(If only this forum had a like-button...)

TASM 2 could have been much better without Electro, instead the focus should have been on Green Goblin from the start, and they should have used the "uncensored" version of Gwen's death.

Garfield's performance was very good considering the script.

Kirsten Dunst is my least favorite part of the original trilogy.  She's even worse than emo spidey

I think we should all reside ourselves that Spider-Man will be portrayed by someone new, no going back.

On the origin issue, do it like "The Incredible Hulk" first ten minutes are edited to recap quickly origin story to get us to Spider-Man.

I always hated Maguire as Spider-Man or Peter Parker, he felt awkward and disconnected from the character, never a moment did I think I was watching Peter Parker or Spider-Man in those films. I found Garfield to be much better with having some actual charisma, but they both suffered from films that were not very good. The bridge scene, the dance scene, the crane scene were all dumb moments across the SM/ASM films.

I want Spider-Man to be fun, like Guardians of the Galaxy fun with one liners. Garfield had that at times, but then it would go too dumb or cheesy at times. Spider-Man should make me laugh and cheer, but also relate to him as not the greatest super hero, but someone you cheer for to overcome the odds in the sense of real danger.

Also, screw anyone besides Peter Parker being Spider-Man. I hated Morales and Octavius taking the mantle and some alternate world of O'Hara or Stacy being him is not what I want on the big screen.

I know little about actors ages 18-26 (roughly who I would guess they'd go with) but I just hope they get someone lean with presence and can convey Spidey's personality of nerdy, clever, funny, and yet deeply caring and human. Won't be easy, but I think Garfield with a better script would have been the formula.

They won't do an origin again, they will just have Spider-man if he is in any of the MCU productions. And there is no reason why Garfield can't do it, if it's a Spider-man film.

If as Spiderman in the film, they could have a guy in costumer all the time. Spider-man secret identity was secret to nearly everyone but like 3 people until more recently in the comics (movies have done that so badly, everyone so easily finds out).

Hmm, pie.

Because their basis is Toby, they aren't comic book readers.

Hmm, pie.

Not Peter Parker though, :P
