Well, MK8's sales are on track to exceed 5 million in it's first year -- meaning LT it will end up passing double dash. Smash U could end up following a similar trajectory.

and smash almost sold 3 million in 1.5 months

I say thats impressive considering the install base

@op you would think they would mention captain toad since that had to be at least 450k shipped

First party software sales were never the problem, hardware sales on the other side...

Well, the next thing we have to look forward to is the investors meeting later today. It's Jan 29, at 10am Japan time, which is Jan 28, 8pm Eastern time. That's 5pm Pacific, 1am UK time, & 2am EU time.

I'm reading through this thread and I am still confused. The WiiU numbers are behind nintendo's forecast and behind GC numbers.

 So...are these bad numbers or good numbers ?!

900k on shelves would mean that the vast majority of 3DS supply is in Japan.  708k based on MC numbers, 653k using Famitsu, or 642k using VGC.  That is the week ending the 4th.  If we use the week ending the 28th, there would be nearly 900k on Japanese shelves alone.

It looks like the 3DS has already had a ~290k adjustment down since the numbers came out, but it needs a lot more.

Why exactly should we not talk about overtracking?  Especially when it is this large, and VGC keeps making the same mistake year after year with the 3DS.
