so the first super mario bros. movie was a muddle of sci-fi nonsense which had nothing to do with the license. if, however, there were to be a "new" super mario bros. movie, whom would you cast? provide mario character, and then provide actor (need not be a professional actor).

i'll start things off with two suggestions.

mario played by tom selleck.

koopa troopas played by mitch mcconnell (r-kentucky).

b-b-but the fun of this is to pick real actors! cgi is done to death.

chargin' chuck played by... tom 'scuff up my balls' brady. oh yeah.

It was confirmed somewhere that Sony is making the CGI Mario film already. Google it.

Oh... The Ratchet and Clank movie looks good, Sony would do a nice job with Mario. 

I was actually going to post that Polygon link as well but seeing this.... well Miyamoto isn't the only one throwing cold water on people ._.

well, we'll see. last decent cgi animated sony movie (other than the new spider-man movies, harr harr) was cloudy with a chance of meatballs. i would sooner trust dreamworks or pixar/disney with it than sony... but we'll see how ratchet and clank goes... (i'm not as confident, but i've not seen a terrible lot about it. just wary of these sorts of licensing deals.)
