How about Kirby takes a 10 year break?

Since he doesn't have all that many games that come out, and the ones that do range from good to great, and they sell well, that seems highly unncecessary.

Not many games?

2010: 1

2011: 2

2012: 1

2013: 0

2014: 1

2015: 1

They don't sell all that well. Try something new, might sell a lot better. His games are lame, everyone here in Europe thinks that. We had a meeting.

Out of all those games, Epic Yarn was, well, Epic, Mass Attack was unique as hell, Return to Dreamland was one of the best platformers on Wii, Dream Collection was a generous 20th anniversary collectible, Triple Deluxe is a short yet sweet platformer for 3DS (which is still better than like half on the handheld), and we can't judge Rainbow Curse yet. Plus, with missing one in 2013, that's about 1 every year. No biggy. My ratings for each:

Epic Yarn-9.2/10

Mass Attack-7.4/10

Return to Dreamland-9/10

Dream Collection-8.3/10

Triple Deluxe-8.1/10

with a 7 being good, 8 being great and 9 being awesome on my rating scale, (and me personally not being a Kirby fannboy) that's pretty impressive.

Thanks for all the great memories!

I just want something new from HAL. Epic Yarn was going to be a new IP btw, but they had to shoehorn Kirby in at the last minute...

Digital on WiiU? around 10-20k.

A original Kirby U:

500k tops, but the fans will enjoy it. Will move around 100k consoles =D

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

fun game, but no. It can not

Nintendo has two better racing franchises to make before even thinking about that game. Diddy Kong Racing and F-Zero.

I'd by a 3D Kirby, though. Definitely.

You heard the fans, Nintendo should only make cheap games that are proven million sellers. So Kirby should remain your run of the mill 2D platformer without any challenge (unless you go for 100%).

I'd be down with a 3D Kirby game. Sadly Nintendo is only allowed to do budget titles.

At this point Nintendo just needs 3rd party games which simply aren't coming. People still want Nintendo games, they just don't want ONLY Nintendo games.

I say this as a happy owner of the Wii U and 3DS. Zelda may still push a few consoles and people may buy it as their second system going forward, but I can't see them improving their standing in the console wars going forward without 3rd party support.

Got a little off topic there but that's just what comes to mind every time I see a "Could this game help Nintendo?" thread. Nintendo the company is fine (despite the success of the PS4 I imagine Sony is looking on Nintendo's situation with envy), but the Wii U seems fairly cemented as the least desired console of the three this generation (though it's currently my personal fav of the three), and I doubt any Kirby game will help that much.

That reminds me, I need to preorder the coming Kirby game :)
