Forums - Gaming Discussion - Driveclub sold only 84k in the US.

According to NPD, Driveclub sold 84k since launching on October 7th. Why are the sales of this game so low? Was it the online issues? Did it got shut out be games like Call of Duty? Or a combination of both of these? Or is it something else?

Thoughts?

Are bundles taken in account in NPD ?

If not, that would explain it: DriveClub was heavily bundled.

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.

Thankfully the rest of the world is making up for it. Maybe american gamers should pay less attention to poorly written reviews!

unpopular game style in NA, probably not a lot of marking and then ofcourse there were the mediocre reviews/launch difficulties

Being broken at launch as a new IP probably killed a lot of peoples intrest. I know people will throw out the digital downloads card but ive never put stock on them selling "that" well when it comes to full games. I think it will still sell well enough in the long run though as graphically it looks amazing and the issues seem to have been fixed.
