You can't also run into clickers because they one-hit kill you

Except for the fatty big one, I always run into clickers because my Joel had the power to one-hit kill them too xD

I think there are too many of these threads. >_>

Haven't played the game yet. It's been sitting on my shelf for over 13 months .

i had ZERO of the problems that you are listing... if you are on a "fight sequence" and joel is not running when you press the run button, then i really feel that youre controller must be busted... is the only logical explanation for me since it always worked in each of my 4 playthroughs.

also i expect you already know that there are some sequences (with no combat) when characters are simply talking and you cannot run, for the sake of "pacing" (maybe those are the sequences where you dont understand why you cant run?).

i also never had a problem with the melee combat so... yeah cant help you with that either.

It was a great experience but I can't see myself playing it again. The segmentsof combat were top notch but the quiet moments--the mood setting moments--just don't want to spend so long just walking and talking now that I know how the story ends..

Pretty much this ^

You can't have poor Joel running at all times. Hes like...fifty?

Is there any sort of indication of when I can or cannot run?  The best thing to do is wait until the sniper fires a shot, then start running...  Even still, Joel does not run.  I had very bad item management on my first time playing survivor, and I don't use the suppliments, so by the time I made it to the sniper on my first survivor play, My deaths were up to 360, because I had close to nothing.

This time around, I have plenty of supplies, and before I made it to the sniper, I only had 80 deaths.  Then, I died about 20 more times, and stopped.

If you are in combat/enemies are around, you can run. The section you are talking about, I was ALWAYS able to run. Either your controller is busted or the game is glitched. You shouldn't be having that problem.

I played it for an hour or 2 and felt that the stealth gameplay was pretty bad, for the most part joel feels very incompetent, never went back.

Yeah, I get that, but you know, the same thing happens when there is no one around.  I'm pressing and holding the run button, and he responds like the situation you're talking about.  Except I'm alone and have a sniper shooting at me.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the controller.  I've got no problems playing any other game, and the same issue happens regardless of which controller I have.

I'm not very fond of the game myself, but it's still a good game.

Could it be that the reason you 'hate' the game is that the game competes with some of your favorite games? Even to go as far as nitpick the game?

All'em playthroughs of a game you "hate"?
