I was watching the XCX trailer again, when I noticed something... Different. The gameplay was... Smooth!? What! No way! It can't be! I checked the settings, and low and behold, the trailer was running at 60fps!

Now I'm not sure that the framerate is stable as it didn't seem as smooth as real 60fps videos, but what they showed was definitely NOT 30fps! What is this black magic! What does this mean for XCX and Zelda U!?

Wow, that's pretty good. I figured they were doing 30 like the first game, but 60 would be awesome.

The only thing XCX is missing are good character models, mainly faces.

Everything else looks amazing, but those faces.

And even at that, the first game seriously struggled with 30fps. Like I said, it doesn't look locked, but it's clearly more than 30, especially during the parts where he's flying the mech.

The cutscenes are 30fps. The gameplay is definitely not.

It's an RPG. How much can it possibly matter.
