It was like...the only week the 3ds actually outsold the PS4 the whole year, except maybe for the first week of 2014 that included a few days of 2013. So the title should be more like "So the 3DS finally outsold the PS4 a full week on 2014?"



...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

3DS had a game thriving on online multiplayer, a great remake and a glitchy game pushing it (SSB, ORAS, Sonic Boom) PS4 had a game thriving on multiplayer, a great remake, and a glitchy game pushing it (AW, GTAV, AC Unity). So 3DS won because it had a much better library (obviously, 3 years old) a cheaper price, and more people owning one already, so the name has been out there longer.

I don't think it's downplay, I think it's people comparing apples to oranges. The home console market is completely different from the handheld market. Think of the two markets as a venn diagram, two circles that meet somewhere in the middle in certain cases.

Dominated isn't even strong enough. More like vaporized.
