IIRC it's expected that AI will be smarter than HA by 2045 or so.

If A.I. deem humans unfit to rule the Earth and its inhabitants I would trust their judgement more than a corrupt, self-preserving politician. Not to mention the voice of the masses.

If that means humanity will be subordinate or completely obliterated (with the latter being very unlikely), then so be it.

I'm somewhere in the murky middle on that. I'm all for dumb A.I. but not super intelligent AI that has access to networks of computer, planes, infrastructure or weapons. It's to limit what it can ultimately do and any potential blow back in the far future. I like the idea of having droids with limited A.I. doing manual labor or housework or just being a sexbot.

I'm not really sure. On one hand, it could open up for a bunch of amazing possibilities, but on the other hand...

This show taught me that it could be pretty scary! XP

Humans think too high of themselves if they believe that they can control something that is mightier than themselves just because they made it.


Thats a problem though because the moment you realise its not controllable, its going to be too late.

Dont forget that AI may also possess characteristics like lying, bluffing, acting dumb and so on.

I'm not sure if it's considered AI, but you guys need to read up on IBM's Watson. It's way better than humans at solving problems.

... How would one even measure the IQ of an insect? You're gonna need to provide a source for that.
