The first one was good for its time, but not really that good. It had a good story but all kinds of other problems.

the second one was terrible.

The third one was very good... but the amount of people that got there was minimal.

True... Very true!!!

Sure the interconnected plot may end up been an issue but overall there are many franchises that faced the same problems but ended up overcoming them because the sequels were a vast improvement ...

Many people that played Uncharted 2 did NOT play the first one in the series. The same deal goes for Mass Effect, The Witcher, and some other series as well ...

What do all those games have in common? Well their prequels all got rave reviews.

I've said this countless times. The second game killed this series. It put the entire series into bad light, not just the game itself.

And the first xenosaga game didn't get rave reviews ?! An 83 meta is pretty modest if you ask me ...

You are missing the point. The first game is irrelevant at this point. The most recent entry in the series was a huge drop off from the previous entry. It puts the series into bad light(especially considering the second game was the only one the PAL regions got)

part 1 and 3 are awesome games especially part 3 wich I have replayed atleast 6 times.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Do explain what I am missing exactly ...

The second game may have damaged the brand but many people are willing to overlook that as long as the next iteration is truly of high quality ...

Just like how Tomb Raider got rejuvenated from the older Tomb Raider games ...

Tomb Raider got a ton of publicity. For example, IGN had more articles on Tomb Raider over the course of 2 months then Xenosaga III had total. The game got no publicity after the review. None whatsoever. So if the media wasn't reporting on the game, and only a few people bought the game...then naturally...

And frick it, we are going around in circles. I don't even know what you are arguing. I'm done. You don't want to believe Xenosaga III is a good game despite not knowing anything about the game, then fine. Be that way. I'm not going to stay up all night running around in circles yelling at a brick wall.

Like the argument had been earlier ... If it was truly a good game then it would have sold ...

@Bold Whatever it is you desire ...

Well I signed and supported that petition. I even gave Harada a tweet about it. :/

I agree with most of the post here, part 2 kinda killed the series. It was so bad that it eclipsed the good of part 3 and the rest was history. Literally! :(

I would rather see a new addition to the series instead of a remastering or a remake. If I wanted to play one of the older xenosaga, I would go play 'em. Yes, I do have 'em but they are covered in dust.
