The reason why FFVII is so despised on Nintendo-centric sites is that it is the game spearheaded the downfall of Nintendo.

FF7. I though FF6 was terribly overated. It certainly wasnt bad for a 16 bit game, but the presentation on FF7 was something else.
I would like to play a remake of FF6 aswell as 7 though. Actually, i wish square would remake them all from 5 up to 9.

Just because their the most persecuted doesn't mean that their not as guilty as the other parties for comments like those ... It's like bubblegamer said, selective observation ... If anything it's the xbox fanbase that's the most persecuted of all since those guys aren't able to go past xbox specific sites without gaining a lot of scrutiny and proportionally speaking in terms of internet community/customer base ratio it is the Nintendo fanbase that tops everybody ... After all, the Nintendo community on IGN isn't the second largest for nothing ... |
Check out the comment sections on IGN, anti-Nintendo trolling is absolutely rampant and the mods do nothing about it.
VGChartz is one of the only safe havens except for exclusive fan sites.

The mods at IGN don't do anything about trolling in general so that applies to both the playstation and xbox specific sections on the forum as well ...
Those guys are EXTREMELY lax ...

It's not just IGN, the mods on Gamefaqs, Gamespot, and a bunch of other sites are asleep at the wheel also.

Gamefaqs is owned by Gamespot plus their alexa ranking is much lower than IGNs and the next one's are PC centric sites ...
For me it is Final Fantasy VII... I had a hard time with FF VI because it has far too many characters which was hurting the overall storytelling. FF VI is the one FF game that tried to offer gameplay variation through many unique characters instead of a job system/materia/Zodiac/etc...

It begs the question of why even have mods if they don't do their jobs.
Strict moderation makes VGC awesome.

The strict moderation here is a double edged sword here at times but I digress ...
The mods at IGN DO their jobs but it would have to be a pretty heineous offence such as spamming pornography, trolling, flaming, and sometimes awful thread crapping in general ...

So they just have far more lenient standards of forum behaviour?
